SSA/RMSA teachers hail

Following the Friday State Cabinet decision to absorb Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan/Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhi-yan (SSA/RMSA) teachers as State employees, the Joint SSA/RMSA Teachers' Association, Manipur has said that they will resume their normal duties from January 27.Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Saturday, vice president of the Joint SSA/RMSA Teachers' Association, Nongmaithem Prakash Chandra lauded the Cabinet decision and said that the Government has acknowledged the hardships the teachers have been facing.
It may be noted that the SSA/RMSA teachers were on cease-work strike since January 13 demanding 'permanent' solution to many of their grievances from the Government.
At the press meet, Prakash also urged the Government to release the teachers' due salaries for seven months.
