Attack condemned

The Catholic Religion of India (CRI), Imphal has strongly condemned the reported attack on Sister Tesline FCC, tutor in Nursing College, Catholic Medical Centre, Koirengei and superior of FCC Convent Koirenggei by unidentified masked gunmen on Sunday in the CMC College of Nursing campus, Koirengei.
According to a statement issued by the President of CRI, Imphal, Fr P X Francis Charuvila SDB, masked gunmen assaulted and stabbed Sister Tesline at around 11.30am of Sunday (Feb 16) .
The CRI condemned the cowardly and brutal attack on a dedicated and hard-working religious woman who has been involved in free humanitarian service for the people of Manipur.
Offering sympathies to the victim, the CRI said it forgives the assailants and offers prayer for them that they may stop evil behaviours and live honest and decent lives.
It further called upon all right thinking people to condemn such inhuman and cruel attack on a simple and helpless woman while also urging the Govt to apprehend the culprits and ensure ordinary citizens live in peace.
