Body Building: Manipur clinch team champion title

Imphal, February 17 2014:
The prize distribution function of the 4th Junior, Masters, Physically Challenged National Body Building Championship 2014 which concluded yesterday was held at the Main Indoor Stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports complex here today.
The Championship was organized by All Manipur Gymnasium Welfare Association under the auspices of Indian Body Builders Federation.
Th.Suraj of Manipur was awarded the overall champion title in 40-50 years master category of the said championship.
.KDinesh Chandra Singh of Manipur was also placed in the second position in the same category while third position went to Bala Pharang Kharsingh of Meghalaya.
In the category of 50-60 years masters, P.Doungel of Manipur won the first position, Ch.
Indra Singh, also of Manipur, won the second position, while third position was bagged by Rajendra Kumar Saxena of Uttar Pradesh.
In the 70 kg Junior category, Samiran Nandi of West Bengal won the first prize.
The Second prize was bagged by A.Sushil Kumar of Manipur and the third prize went to Shahbaz Ali of West Bengal.
.SBungcha Singh of Manipur won the first position in the 75 kg Junior category, the Second position by Somdatta Rohill of Haryana and third position M.Robby Meity of Assam.
.NSuraj Singh of Manipur won overall champion title in the 75 kg Junior category.
Ruslan Shah K Naikwadi of Maharashtra was awarded second prize while third prize went to Debajit Kumar of Jharkhand.
Manipur won the team champion title of the championship.
Best poser award was given to Vinod Metri of Karnataka.
Runner up team championship award was given to West Bengal, while 1st runners' up team championship title to Andhra Pradesh.
The championship carried prize money of Rs.1 lakh for the overall junior title, Rs.50,000 for overall master championship, Rs.50,000 for overall physically challenged, Rs.20,000 for most improved of the year, Rs.10,000 for best poser, Rs.10,000 for team champion, Rs.5,000 for team runners' up, Rs.5,000 for best coach along with a trophy.
