In its bid to resolve the admission row to Manipur University, ATSUM, DESAM, ANSAM and KSO have inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the VC of Manipur University and the Registrar of the varsity to stick to the Central Educational Institution (Reservation in admission) Act 2006 and amended in 2012 with immediate effect, superceding the resolution taken by the Academic Council of MU on October 8 .
According to the MoU, the resolution taken by the Academic Council of MU on October 8 will be kept aside and the CEI (Reservation in admission) Act 2006 and amended in 2012 will be upheld.
This is subject to the condition that until and unless the order issued by the High Court of Manipur is set aside by a competent authority.
