Imphal, November 07 2016:
The Chiru Union, North East India, have strongly opposed the inclusion of Chiru tribe in the Kuki monolith 'Pathen Tongsot Songpi' which was erected at Khulmuan village in Churachandpur.
Ph Zatak, president of the union, in a press release issued today pointed out that Chiru is one of the tribes officially recognised by the Government of India and they have never been a part of the Kuki group.
