Imphal, November 07 2016:
Pointing out that the viva voce was held on October 26 even before results of the written test held for recruitment to some posts in the Directorate of Information and Public Relations were declared, BJP Manipur Pradesh legislature wing leader Kh Joykishan has asserted that Chief Minister O Ibobi ought to come out with a convincing explanation as he is in charge of the particular department.
Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office today, Joykishan remarked that holding viva voce even before results of written test were declared is something unheard of in any part of the world.
Such unusual recruitment procedure is a big blot to the State administration.
While strongly condemning the faulty recruitment process, Joykishan said that all the recruitments made through faulty processes would be declared null and void in case BJP comes to power in the State.
The entire process of recruitment of Police Constables initiated in 2013 was cancelled citing large scale anomalies in the process and the recruitment process was conducted anew this year.
But many anomalies and discrepancies were committed in the process.
As such, the new process ought to be cancelled as done in the previous case, Joykishan asserted.
One candidate who did not appear in a written test held for recruitment to a few posts in Sericulture Department was found selected.
In view of this glaring wrongdoing, the same recruitment process should be invalidated.
Taking strong exception to the hectic recruitment drives being carried out by the Congress Government when the Assembly election was round the corner, Joykishan said that all the recruitment process would be re-examined and befitting actions would be initiated against all wrongdoers as soon as BJP forms Government in the State.
He further informed that they would send a representation to the Election Commission of India highlighting the Congress Government's massive recruitment drives.
