'Not to allow introduction of Food Security Bill in State'

Non-Congress political parties in Manipur have resolved to oppose no matter what it comes against the introduction of Food Security Bill in the State.
The parties have also resolved to press the Centre to have a thorough survey and demarcation before furtherance of the ongoing border fencing work along the Indo-Myanmar International boundary.
On Saturday, non-Congress political parties in Manipur including Manipur People's Party (MPP), BJP, JD (U), JD(S), Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP), CPM, CPI, All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), Naga People's Front (NPF), NCP and National People's Party (NPP) in a joint meeting resolved to send their representatives to New Delhi and press their respective party leaders to bring out the two issues in the forthcoming Parliament Session.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament is due to begin from tomorrow and the Ordinance on the Food Security Bill awaits to pass in the session.
Talking to media here today, leaders of the non-Congress party said that the Food Security Bill if introduced in the state like Manipur, it will only burden the farmers.
They contended that the poor section of the society will be made even poorer and the people in power and the wealthy will harvest on the situation once the Bill is introduced.
The leaders of the non-Congress political parties then said the border fencing work along the Indo-Myanmar border should be stopped at once; otherwise, a large portion of Manipur territory will be lost.
The non-Congress parties' leaders informed that they will send a strong delegate to Delhi and press their Central party leaders to have a thorough survey on the border.
