Thounaojam Chaoba keeps mum on leadership crisis in State BJP

Although he declined to give any comment on the leadership crisis in his party, Manipur State unit of BJP on Friday came out strongly against the Singjamei blast that claimed two lives and wounded 19 others including one woman yesterday.
Th Chaoba, president of BJP Manipur Pradesh visited Raj Polyclinic, North AOC here and met some of the victims who are being treated at the private hospital.
"I am shocked to see the wounded.
Many of them are likely to lose their limbs," he told reporters.
The State BJP president who was accompanied by some leaders of the party extended financial assistance to the victims.
He informed media persons that 15 units of blood, which will be needed by the blast victims, were donated to the hospital by the BJP members during the visit.
Earlier during the day, Chaoba called on leaders of the State unit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), sources in the State BJP said.
Chaoba returned to Imphal today after visiting New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of (Prime Minister)
Narendra Modi.
The former MP declined to comment when asked him about the leadership crisis prevailing within his party's organization.
