First batch JNV Kangpokpi Class X students felicitated

Kangpokpi, August 23 2018:
The first batch of Class X, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kangpokpi District comprising of 36 students who have brought laurels to the institution with a 100 percent pass percentage in the recently declared CBSE Class X AISSE, 2018 have been felicitated today at the Vidyalaya premises.
Lamkhanthem Haokip, Chonghoi Chongloi and Lhaineikim Kimmary Lhouvum secured the top 3 spot of the Vidyalaya with 91.4 %, 87.6% and 85.2 % respectively.
Speaking at the function, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing said that the achievement of the first batch of Class X JNV Kangpokpi District is a landmark achievement and commendable by all as it will be a pioneering step in encouraging and grooming students of the district.
"Determination, discipline and hard work only will carry you forward in achieving your goals", advised the ADC Sadar Hills Chairman while motivating the student community.
DC Kangpokpi also appreciated the students who excelled in the CBSE AISSE, 2018 while highlighting the importance of choosing subjects for further study (career) wisely.
He pointed out the vital roles of parents and teachers in moulding the children and shaping their future careers.
Convenor of Parents Teachers Council, T Misao stressed on the vital role played by the local MLA, who is also the Social Welfare Minister, Nemcha Kipgen in the establishment of JNV Kangpokpi and helping it in time of needs all round the years for the welfare of the student community.
He urged the ADC Sadar Hills to provide one Science Laboratory and one boy's dormitory considering the urgent needs of the students.
On behalf of PTC, he submitted a memorandum to the District Administration to help the school in time of needs in the larger interest of the students community.
Various cultural troupe including Thadou Cultural Troupe, Mao Cultural Troupe, Meitei Cultural troupe, Nepali Cultural Troupe performed various cultural dances at the event.
Principal and JNV Choir enthralled the crowd with their melodious songs.
