Locals denounce Govt's plan to set up second home of Sangai at Pumlen Pat

Kakching, August 23 2018:
Locals near Pumlen Pat staged a torch rally yesterday night denounc ing the plan of the Government to set up a second home for Sangai by protecting the Pat as conservation reserve area.
According to PTI, a census survey conducted in 2016 has spotted 260 Sangai deer in Loktak Lake.
With significant increase in the population of Sangai recently, the Government is planning to set up a second home of the endangered species at Pumlen Pat.
Arong Khunou Heibong Kedongbi Club, Youth Physical Club and Arong Khunou Meira Paibi took out the rally at Arong Khunou.
