Youth Parliament Screening programme held at Noney

District Youth Parliament Screening programme for Longmai (Noney) & Tamenglong District was held today at Jadonang Memorial College Longmai (Noney).
The programme was conducted by State NSS Cell Manipur, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
The programme was moderated by Kamala Kamei, Asst Prof Jadonang Memorial College Longmai (Noney) & welcome address was given by Khuigai Kamei, Dist Program Co-ordinator.
The participants spoke on the topics they choose -swachhata, poverty, corruption, terrorism and National security, communalism, casteism, good governance and environmental protection.
Out of the 35 students/youths participants, 10 were selected to participate for the coming Dist level programme.
MK Philip, Lecturer, Tengkonjang Hr Sec School, Agunna, Graduate Teacher, Tk Hr Sec School and Julia Gonmei, Lecturer, Tk Hr Sec School attended as jury members.
Dr Th Bimol Singh, Asso Prof Biramangol College and Dist Co-ordinator, NSS Imphal East, L Vivekananda Singh Dist Co-ordinator, NSS Sanapati/ Kangpokpi, Phunin Singh, NSS Cell New Secretariat and Ningthouchapou Kamei, Program Officer, NSS, Unit, Jadonang Memorial College attended the event.
