Imphal, August 22 2015 :
The All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) has urged all concerned to carry out the ongoing ILPS demand agitation in a more organised manner, in line with the directive of the JCILPS.
In a statement, publicity secretary of AMUCO, Jameskumar said that the ongoing ILPS demand movement is a forceful one with the participation of the public.
However, the agitation now is apparently going astray.
Instead of carrying out the agitation at the direction of the JCILPS, it now seems that the agitation is taken out with one's whims and fancies.
AMUCO is a bit apprehensive that people may become accustomed to carry out protest in such an unorganised manner in future too.
One may also soften stand if the protests are likely to cause enmity among different communities.
The wind of communal ill-feelings may then blow from all directions which can be detrimental to the age-old ties and fraternity of the different communities living in the State, it said.
The peace talks between the NSCN-IM and Govt of India is in its final stage and the issue is anticipated to be settled about three months' time.
Although various National parties time and again assured that the territorial integrity of the State will not be affected by the peace deal, it would not be either healthy for tiny State like Manipur to have two different administrative units as is the case of Karbi autonomy model of neighbouring Assam.
Creation of a pan-Naga body in all Naga areas of contagious States is a pleasant tidings.
However, it could not be guaranteed that the pan-Naga body would not take the shape of a political nature.
As such, in a crucial juncture like this when unification and solidification is most required, one should be cautious not to make more adversaries.
AMUCO urged all concerned to get direction from the JCILPS, without losing sight of the future agitation.
