Moreh Road Transporter Association has sought apology from individuals involved in the reported vandalism of public transport vehicles during the Moreh violence on August 18.Speaking to media persons JAC, Imphal Moreh Road Transporter Association, Kangla parking president Ng Haridas said many public transport vehicles were vandalised in the recent confrontation between two groups at Moreh.
Altogether, 50 vehicles including Maruti Van, Tata Sumo, Car, DI, bus and other public services parked at Moreh parking were vandalised by agitators.
Questioning the motive behind the destruction, the JAC president has demanded a formal apology and explanation for the mischief from those individuals involved in the act.
He further appealed to the State Government to award befitting punishment to the perpetrators.
A joint meeting of the JAC was later held at Moreh Parking in which the August 18 incident was discussed.
