IEC/BCC session to prevent vector borne diseases held at Kakching

Kakching, August 03 2019:
In view of the increasing number of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) positive cases being reported from Kakching and to control and contain the spread of such disease, a one-day 'Information Education Communication (IEC)/Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) session on prevention and control of vector borne diseases was held at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Keithel Community Hall today.

District Health Society, National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme (NVBDCP), Kakching in association with Ideal Youth Association (IYA), Kakching Wairi, United Youth Progressive Organization (UNYPO), Kakching Chumnang Leikai and All Kakching Students Union (AKSU) organized the programme which was attended by Additional Director, Public Health, Dr Sachikumar Mangang; District Malaria Officer Kakching, Dr M Gambhini; District Surveillance Officer Kakching/ Thoubal, Integrated Diseases Surveillance Unit, Dr Kh Trusty; MO in-charge, Community Health Centre Kakching, Dr U Arunkumar; president, IYA Kakching Wairi, M Brojen Singh as presidium members while many resource persons spoke on the topic.
