Imphal, March 21 2010:
The proscribed KCP has declared that strong punitive action would be initiated against four individuals for their alleged anti-KCP activities and defiance to earlier warnings.
A KCP statement issued by its information and Public Relations Department identified the five as Moirangthem Ningol Khundrakpam (O) Kumari Devi w/o Bashanta Singh of Khangabok, Ningthoujam Baruni Devi w/o N Ibotomba Singh of Khangabok Part III Tankha Leikai, pradhan Chaobi of Yurembam Gram Panchayat, Solomon of the same Panchayat and M Ibohal of Kakching Khunyai.
While Kumari Devi, who is also a Khangabok Part III Zilla Parishad member, along with N Baruni Devi have been accused of colluding with security forces, the statement issued by Tabungba Meetei charged Chaobi and Solomon of defying an earlier communication by the outfit to sort out certain differences.
On the otherhand, M Ibohal has been accused of indulgence in immoral act that threatens safety of the women in Manipuri society, Tabungba added.
Meanwhile, another statement issued by Tabungba endorsed PREPAK's call to authors/writers for exercising extreme caution while chronicling events related to history of Manipur.
Tabungba also cautioned that in case security forces prolong alleged stage-managed killings or harass innocent civilians the KCP would retaliate in a befitting manner.
