A 16-day National integration tour organised by 3 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR(S) culminated at Kakching under Ops Sadbhavana Project 2014-15 today.
The tour was flagged in by Brig Gajendra Joshi, Commander of 28 Sector Assam Rifles, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
A team comprising 18 students and two teachers visited Mysore and Bangalore during the tour.
The first stop of the tour was Mysore where the team got to see various places of interest including zoo, historical monuments and bird sanctuary for two days.
In Bangalore, the team interacted with Vajubhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka, the press release said.
The Governor motivated the students to focus on education to achieve success.
The team later visited Indus International School where they interacted with their counterparts.
They were given a brief exposure to innovative teaching techniques.
In his address, Commander, 28 Sector Assam Rifles congratulated the students on the successful conduct of the tour and exhorted them to positively apply the knowledge and experience gained by them.
