Imphal, November 08:
Stating that they are facing severe hardships consequent upon non payment of salaries since the month of July this year, the All Manipur District Council Teachers Association has appealed to the Chief Minister to release the pending salaries at the earliest.
Reminding of the alleged assurance given by the Minister concerned for increment of 10 percent DA and 14 percent DA arrear, the association further urged upon the Chief Minister to issue necessary directive to the authority concerned for release of 10 percent DA increment and 14 percent DA arrear.
A memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister in this regard also cautioned that the association will resort to various modes of agitation if the genuine demands of the employees under District Councils are not fulfilled at the earliest.
