With a view to reinvigorate the participation of Muslim in social services, All Manipur Anti-Drug Association will conduct a special seminar for the religious minority on November 17 and 18.The theme of the seminar will be Eramdam Asida Thokliba Mayai Kaba Chinzakki Wathok Asida Manipur MuslimMeitei Pangal Singna Lougadaba Thoudang and will take place at Bari Jame Masjid in Lilong.
Moulana Sayeed Ahamed, secretary Jamiatun Ulmae Manipur and Dr S A Latif Shaha, reader, PG Department of Anthropology at the DM College of Science will the moderators of the seminar.
Prominent invitees who would be attending the inaugural function of the seminar are AR Khan, Commissioner Labour; L Tomba Meitei, president, AMADA; Maulana Abdul Sattar and Maulana Nijamudin.
A spokesperson of the Association stated that quest for corrective measures for the diminishing role of Muslim in public activities, economic and academic decline and increase in crimes due to high rate of drug indulgence necessitated the programme.
