Former vice president of BJP Thoubal District, Thokchom Jadumani took out a humanitarian work today at various places of Khangabok Assembly Constituency by distributing essential items including rice, pulses and cooking oils to differently-abled persons and destitute families as relief materials for the lockdown, which was imposed due to outbreak COVID-19 .
President of BJP Thoubal District, Yumnam Kumarjit Singh also took part in the distribution programme and assured that everyone will be given their due share of rice free of cost for three months as announced by the State Government.
Thokchom Jadumani who was also inspecting houses in deplorable conditions on the sideline of the distribution programme promised to assist in refurbishing those houses.
While urging PDS agents of the constituency to work sincerely for the wellbeing of the masses in this crucial time, Jadumani also spelt out the quantities of rice being handed out to the NFSA fair price agents under the supervision of DC .
He said that Ningthoujam Ibohal Singh (agent of 34/36 : Samaram Sabal Leikai); Ningthoujam Sanatombi (agent of 34/37 : Samaram Mayai Laikai) and Nongmaithem Ranbir (agent of 34/38 : Samaram Mathak Leikai) were respectively slotted 102, 91 and 118 bags of rice yesterday.
Taking serious note on the activities of few agents who announced that the rice was accommodated by local MLA although it has been facilitated by the State Government, Jadumani appealed everyone not to be confused by the announcement.
