Team visit home quarantined persons

Kangpokpi, March 28 2020:
The medical personnel of Kangpokpi combating the highly contiguous COVID-19 pandemic in the district, District Administration officials and police personnel visited the almost three hundred home quarantined persons in the district today.
Under the directive of Chief Medical Officer of the district, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi supervised the medical personnel visiting the home quarantined persons.
In Kangpokpi town, the six-team of medical personnel led by a doctor each visited the 79 home quarantined persons under Kangpokpi District Hospital, PHSC Lungphou, T Khullen and Hengbung.
They monitored the health status of the quarantined persons and motivate them to abide by the home quarantine guidelines.
The family members of the home quarantined persons were also exhorted to adhere with the home quarantine guidelines.
Home Quarantine posters were also pasted in each gate of the house.
According to the latest report from the District Health Society, Kangpokpi, there are altogether 279 reported home quarantine persons including 27 persons coming from a foreign country, 250 persons coming from the various Indian States and two quarantine persons at the district quarantine centre at KGBV Ekou Mulam in Saikul.
The district Chief Medical Officer and District Surveillance Officer and the medical officials also visited the two quarantine persons at KGBV Ekou Mulam who shared the flight with the woman who was tested positive for COVID-19 .
As per protocol, bio medical waste disposal were installed in all the three identified quarantine centres at BITE Centre, L Lhangjol, EMRS, Gamnom-Saparmeina and KGBV Ekou Mulam.
Till filing of this report, the health status of home quarantine persons is yet to be known.
