UPF appeals hawkers to distribute newspapers

The United Peoples' Front (UPF) Manipur, has appealed to all newspaper hawkers in the State to begin distribution of newpapers from tomorrow.
A statement issued by the secretary general of UPF stated that suspension of newspaper distribution by hawkers due to the situation developing out of the COVID-19 pandemic, has been depriving the general public of credible news and information.
As such, it appealed to the hawkers to begin distribution of newspapers from tomorrow in public interest.
UPF then appealed to the State Government to ensure that rice grains and other items are distributed evenly for all constituencies and localities.
UPF also appealed to all local clubs to provide every possible help to students who have been staying and stranded in rented houses without any preparation for the lockdown.
On the other hand, UPF appealed to all the groups who are rendering services and help to those in need, to ensure that they wear proper masks, gloves and practice proper social distancing in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It further appealed to one and all to strictly follow and adhere to the guidelines issued by experts and doctors for maximum protection against the virus and to ensure that no spread of the virus takes place among the population of the State.
