Meritorious students feted in different parts of Bishnupur, Thoubal

Bpr/Tbl, June 16 2019: Youth Welfare Organisation (YWO) has organized a felicitation function to honour 12 successful students from Bishnupur Ward No 5/6 who secured first division in the Class X and XII exams conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE with certificate and cash incentive at Ibudhou Mayangamba Community Hall today.

The felicitation function was attended by Councillor Ward No 5, Bishnupur Municipal Council, Th Indramani Singh as chief guest; president Youth Welfare Organisation N Mangi Singh as functional president and Councillor Ward No 6 BMC W Radhe Devi as guest of honour.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Meritorious Award distribution function sponsored by Saiton Gram Panchayat was held at Ibudhou Apanba Community Hall Mamang, Saiton to encourage students of Saiton Gram Panchayat in Kumbi AC, Bishnupur District.

The function organized by Anouba Mangal was attended by MLA Kumbi AC S Bira Singh as chief guest; pradhan Saiton Gram Panchayat M Ibomcha Singh as functional president and 11 Kwakta/Saiton ZP member Ibemcha Bibi, president Anouba Mangal Saiton L Manimohol Sharma, Panchayat Secy T Tiken Singh, ward members of the Gram Panchayat as guests of honour.

During the function, a total of 45 students including 35 successful students in the Class X exam from the Saiton GP and 10 succesful students in Class XII were honoured with mementoes, exercise book and cash award while one mother of a meritorious student from the said GP namely Soraisam Madhubala Devi of Saiton Heiyaikon was also honoured with shawl, memento and cash.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA S Bira Singh said that the felicitation function was held to encourage students to do better in life and become an inpiring person by receiving proper education and excelling in their profession.

On the other hand, Educational Trust Ngaikhong Siphai has also organized 21st Meritorious Award distribution function for the succesful students of Ngaikhong Gram Panchayat who have excelled in the Class X and XII exams conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM at Ngaikhong Siphai Mamang Leikai Community Hall.

The function was attended by Pradhan Ngaikhong Gram Panchayat Moirangthem Bala Devi; Chairperson Bishnupur Municipal Council L Maniyaima Singh; member Ward No 8 Ngaikhong GP L Loken Singh; member Ward No 7 Kh Sumila Devi; Member Ward No 9 S Basanta Singh and social worker S Jiban Singh as dignitaries.

During the function, 20 students who have passed in first division in the Class X exam conducted by BOSEM from Ngaikhong Gram Panchayat and 71st divisioners in Class XII exam conducted by COHSEM were honoured with gifts and prizes donated by various donors.

Meanwhile, a felicitation function to honour 55 meritorious students from area under Bishnupur Municipal Council, who have scored 65% and above marks in the recently declared Class X and XII exams conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM, was held yesterday.

The 23rd Award presentation function organized by Bishnupur Educational Trust, Bishnupur was attended by Retd Sr Lecturer, Bishnupur Hr Sec School, Khangenbam Ibeton Devi as chief guest; president Bishnupur Educational Trust, Bishnupur, Y Maipak Chothe as functional president while donor Laishram Loken Singh and donor Elli Devi attended as guests of honour.

Laishram Romen Memorial Cash Award were conferred to 17th Position holder in Class X exam of BOSEM, Thiyam Manglemba Luwang, student of Modern Higher Secondary School Bishnupur; 19th Positiom holder from the same school Haorokcham Aman Singh and 25th Position holder Yaisana Khumanthem of Loyola School Bishnupur.

They were honoured with cash incentives of Rs 2,000, Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000.Besides, 47 students who have scored 65% and above marks in the Class X exam were also felicitated with Rs 500 each.

Three students who have secured 65% and above marks in Class XII exam were honoured with Thokchom Ibeton Memorial Cash Award and extended cash award of Rs 2,000, Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000 respectively.

Hamom Premananda Memorial Cash Award went to 2 students from Arts stream.

Moreover, 38 students who have scored 60% and above marks in the Class X and XII exams conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur and Central Board of Secondary Education from Moirangkhunou GP in Thanga AC, Bishnupur District were honoured with cash award and certificate.

The felicitation function organized by The Sangai & Educational Social Development Organisation (SESDO), Keibul Lamjao was attended by Lt General Retd L Nishikanta Singh as Chief Guest; ZP member 8-Kha Thinungei and vice-president Manipur State Panchayat Parishad Oinam Ibojao Singh as functional president and Moirangkhunou GP pradhan Laishram Dhaneshwore (Amuthoi) Singh as guest of honour.

Members of Moirangkhunou GP - O Memchoubi Devi, S Sangeeta, H Premkumar Singh, H Radhamani Devi, Oinam Premila Devi were also present as special guest.

In the function, 16 students who got 60% and above marks in Class X exam conducted by BOSEM, 2 students of CBSE, 17 Class XII students under COHSEM and 3 Class XII students under CBSE were honoured with cash award and certificate.

THOUBAL: Meritorious Award Committee (MAC), Thoubal also organized felicitation function to honour outstanding students from the area covered by Ward No 6, Thoubal Municipal Council who have excelled in the Class X and XII exams conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE at Thoubal Melaground community hall today.

The 5th meritorious prize distribution function was attended by MLA Khangabok AC Surjakumar Okram, president MAC Konsam Michael and Chairperson Thoubal Municipal Council Th Shyamo as presidium members.
