All polling stations in 6 dists categorized as sensitive and hyper sensitive

Imphal, January 16, 2012:
All the polling stations of different A/Cs in six districts of the state for the ensuing election to the 10th Manipur State Legislative Assembly have been categorised as sensitive and hyper sensitive with none categorized as normal polling stations.
Those districts without any normal polling stations are Thoubal, Bishnupur, Tamenglong, Ukhrul and Churachandpur.
Among the total number of 2357 polling stations in the state, 875 has been categorized as hyper sensitive, 1325 are sensitive and 160 polling stations are normal.
In Imphal East, 71 polling stations are hyper sensitive, 181 are sensitive and 105 are normal.
In Imphal West, 77 are hyper sensitive, 293 are sensitive and 21 are normal.
In Bishnupur 99 are hyper sensitive, 97 are sensitive and no normal polling stations.
In Thoubal 227 are hyper sensitive, 134 are sensitive with no normal polling stations, Chandel district has 21 hyper sensitive polling stations, 76 sensitive polling stations and 34 normal polling stations.
Senapati has 105 hyper sensitive polling stations, 218 sensitive polling stations and no normal polling stations.
Tamenglong district has 26 hyper sensitive polling stations, 120 sensitive poling stations and no normal polling stations.
Ukhrul district has 144 hyper sensitive polling stations and 35 sensitive polling stations with no polling stations under normal category, while Churachandpur district has 102 hyper sensitive and 171 sensitive polling stations with none of the polling stations categorized as normal.
As a security arrangement for the upcoming Assembly polls two sections of paramilitary forces will be deployed in all polling stations categorized as hyper sensitive and one section of paramilitary will be deployed in those polling stations categorized as sensitive and normal.
Arrangement for deploying more forces as and when the need arises has been made.
