Lamka, August 01 2013:
Years after an impressive Circuit house was inaugurated at Khuga Dam, similar project constructed at ST Chullouphai in Churachandpur district was reportedly making a snail's pace progress due to perpetual fund crunch.
Foundation stone for the circuit house was laid way back in December 2011, but the lack of funds has left the project at Chullouphai wandering barely with its poles; years after similar projects in the State were thrown open to the public.
The agency implementing the project has cited the problem of getting the fund released as one major reason for the fluctuating pace of progress they have underwent.
The Chullouphai Circuit house was touted to be the third tourist attraction after Khuga Dam and Ngaloi water falls, but that fantasy still wonders in paper.
Besides assembling a structure, maintaining them is another thrust that needs immediate attention as many beautiful and useful structures taken up by the Government were left to rot and exploit once it was officially inaugurated.
