Two persons who sustained injuries when the bus they were travelling in turned turtle at Ngaikhong Khunou area under Bishnupur PS this afternoon have been hospitalised at RIMS here.
The driver of the bus lost control of the steering and the bus skidded and rolled upside down in the paddy field located near the road side.
The identities of the persons who are admitted to the hospital could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
On the other hand, a 25-year old youth who has been undergoing treatment at JN Hospital since January 15 after he suffered head injuries when the Kinetic Honda he was driving rammed into a JCB at Kanglatongbi under Sekmai PS under succumbed to the injuries at around 9.15 am today.
The deceased youth is identified as Khwairakpam Romesh (25) of Awang Sekmai.
The body has been taken away by the family members after a post-mortem conducted at RIMS hospital later in the afternoon today.
However, the body identified as that of one Chongtham Sonamani (20) of Heiranggoi Thongkhong which was abandoned after being shot dead at Mongshangei School Leirak Machin under Singjamei PS last night it still laying at the mortuary of the Hospital awaiting post-mortem.
The post-mortem of the body is likely to be conducted tomorrow.
Meanwhile, according to another report, the body of an army personnel who was reportedly killed in a shooting encounter was brought from Leimakhong Army Camp at RIMS Hospital for embalming today.
The slain Army personnel is identified as Rajen Dev Hari Tibili of Karnataka.
He belonged to 557 ASC Battalion.
