Help extended to Mission Blind School

Lions Club of Thoubal and LEO Club of Thoubal extended help to Mission Blind School at Heikakpok and gave away ration and clothes today.
Members of the various clubs under Lions Club International District 322 D descended to the school and handed over 4 bags full of rice, 25 kg dal, 30 kg potatoes, 10 litre edible oil, 1 kg chilly, 25 kg salt, 1 kg fermented fish (Ngari), 5 kg onion, Biscuits etc, 30 T-shirts and 3 trousers today.
Secretary Lions Club of Thoubal Narengbam Robindro Singh said that the Club has been continuously extending help to Mission Blind School since 2004 as Permanent Project of the club while adding that four visually impaired students were provided free eye sight treatment and corrected through Sight First Programme of Lions Club International.
He continued that the club will continue to conduct Free Eye Camp to identify the possibility of retaining the eyesight of the visually challenged students and will bear all the expenses if their vision can be restored through operation.
Principal, Mission Blind School expressed gratitude to Lions Club of Thoubal and LEO Club of Thoubal for their unceasing support and prayed to god for the better future and development of the club.
