Voluntary old age pension distributed

Kakching, October 28 2018:
Youths' Development & Upliftment Society (YDUS), Kakching organised a biannual voluntary pension distribution function for the elderly (70 yrs and above) of Kakching Ward no 4, who have not received any pension benefits from the Government sides, at the auditorium of Library and Information, here, today.
Pensions were distributed to 44 elders of Kakching Ward no 4 during the function.
Saying that YDUS has successfully provided pension to the elders for three years now, its Gen Secy Pukhrambam Inaosana credited the success of the programme to the financial donors and members of YDUS.
He also maintained that it will bring great difference in the lives of elders if the Government provides pension scheme.
He also spoke about their plan to provide pension to widows of 50 year and less.
The pension distribution function which is conducted twice a year was graced by Kshetrimayum Mangol Singh, retd Head Master as president, Kshetrimayum Sivakanta, IPS, SDPO Moirang as chief guest and Naorem Uttamkumar Singh, Editor, Image TV, Kakching as guest of honour.
