K Ranjit inspects three water supply scheme sites

Sugnu MLA Kangujam Ranjit Singh has remarked that stark changes and imbalances in climatic condition has led to a shortage in drinking water.
The MLA also made an appeal to put a stop to activities that might negatively impact the balance of nature in trying to obtain better access to drinking water.
The statement was made by the MLA during a trip to inspect the sites of water supply schemes/projects set to be established at Kakching Khunou, Sugnu and Korshantabi, Chajingkhunou.
RK Surendra, Executive Engineer, PHE, Kakching Division, Th Ramananda, SO and G Nanao Sharma, representative of Key Stone Infra Pvt Ltd company were present at the inspection visit along with the MLA.
Kangujam Ranjit went on to say that Key Stone Infra Pvt Ltd company who will be undertaking the construction work has provided assurance that the work will be completed within 6/7 months.
He urged the people residing in the area to cooperate with the company in ensuring that their work of providing easy access to clean drinking water is completed on schedule.
It may be noted that the National Development Bank has provided an amount of Rs 911.84 crore as funding for the water supply schemes.
