MSF demands action against recalcitrant teachers

While stating that some teachers are not joining the school despite being posted at Chairel High School, Kakching, Manipuri Students' Federation has urged authorities concerned to look into the matter seriously.
In a release, MSF general secretary Hijam Roshan informed that it has been keeping a close watch on Chairel High School since Friday as there were some suspicions.
MSF met the headmaster Naorem Samoo and discussed thoroughly about the school during which several irregularities came to the fore.
Roshan pointed out that Director of Education (S) on May 5 issued re-joining order of two teachers to the school, who were earlier transferred for utilisation in other schools.
Identifying the said teachers as Sinam Sanahanbi Devi and Laishram Chanu Asharani, the secretary contended that both belatedly joined duty on May 16 and never showed up at the school.
On May 26 they were present at the school but only for namesake after which they hired/engaged two locals to take class on their behalf.
The two substitute teachers are Roshni Laishram and Subita Sorokhaibam and they have been teaching the students of the school.
Informing that Director of Education (S) issued two orders on May 5 and 13 to effect posting of five teachers at the school, Roshan said that the teachers are yet to join the school till now.
The other absentee teachers are Sheikh Hasinah Shah, Elangbam Mohon Singh, Yumnam Sundeep and Khumukcham Shyamdas Singh.
Moreover, Yengkhom Amarjit Singh only joined the school on Friday though the joining order was issued on May 5.Drawing the attention of the government, Roshan demanded authorities concerned for taking actions against the irresponsible teachers at the earliest.
