AMSU observes 33rd Students' Emancipation Day

Bishnupur, May 28 2022:
All Manipur Students Union Bishnupur District Committee observed the 33rd Students' Emancipation Day at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School memorial site today in honour of the three students, Urikhaibam Khelen, Kumam Sharat and Haobijam Ibohal, who lost their lives to police gunfire.
It may be noted that the function was organised under the supervision of AMSU HQ and kicked off with an offering of floral tribute.
The event was attended by Chalamba Haobijam, president, AMSU HQ, Khangembam Shining, president AMSU Bishnupur District Committee, Lourembam Nganbi, president, Apunba Nupi Lup Bishnupur and many students.
Speaking on the occasion, Khangembam Shining said students should not only be invested in academics but also learn the ways of the world and be helpful to their family and society in general.
L Nganbi stated that the decreasing number of students opting to study in government schools was proof that government schools are filled with inadequacies.
