Tripartite talk

The State Government delegation for the 7th round of tripartite talk involving Government of India on UNC's demand for an Alternative Arrangement for Nagas of Manipur pending a solution to the Indo-Naga peace alk scheduled on February 6 may be led by Industries Minister K Govindas.
Well placed sources informed that this round of tripartite talk would be held at the political level, most probably at Senapati district headquarters.
The State Government delegation would include RD Minister Francis Ngajokpa, IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip, MLA N Biren, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga and Principal Secretary (Home) Dr Suresh Babu.
Government of India's delegation would be led by Union Home Ministry's North East in-charge Shambhu Singh.
Notably, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam who is also in charge of Home Department has categorically stated that the State Government would not accept any dialogue which has the potential to impinge upon the State's interest.
