Audio album for disability released

In connection with 'Ningol Chakkouba' festival and specially for the Women with Disability, The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur has released 'Ningol Khudol' a Manipuri audio album comprising six songs sung by visually impaired (blind) Bobby of Taothong, at Children Home, Tera Keithel here today.
Adhaksha Imphal West, Ch Bijenti Devi as chief guest at the occasion said, differently abled persons need to exhibit their rare skills to all the people without losing heart.
During the occasion, President of The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Ch Opendro Singh asserted that the inclusion of differently abled persons is a must to bring development.
There will be development only when the leaders of the State hold hands of the differently abled persons and lift them up.
Observing that differently abled persons have not yet received even the PDS items, Singh went on to say that only the construction of roads and bridges will not bring development.
Stating that a question is arising whether stipend or any schemes of the Social Welfare Department has been reaching the people or not, Zilla Parishad Patsoi, Th Sumanta Singh wondered if the schemes have been reaching the differently abled persons, would not they be lapsing behind? .
Zilla Parishad Takyel, A Manimala Devi also expressed opinion that the differently abled persons should be given a chance to showcase their talents instead of shutting doors on them.
