All Zeliangrong Students Union (AZSU) of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland, Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland ana Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM) have strongly reacted against the statement of the NSCN-IM, Zeilad Region's 'Central Administrative Officer' (CAO).

Aduan Pamei who is the 'CAO' of the Zeilad Region NSCN-IM commented in a newspaper that the region he heads would be checking and dealing seriously with any individual, party, association, organization or group who dare to defy and disown such unanimous resolutions adopted and passed by the 'public convention.
Reacting to the NSCN-IM leader's assertion, the three Zeliangrong organisations today said, "The affairs of the Zeliangrong people is solely dependent on the wisdom of the Zeliangrong community.
Therefore, no underground organisation should interfere in the tribe's affairs.
The public decisions or resolutions taken by the people are for their security, well being and betterment of their community and as such are not related in any manner to any underground organisation.
There is no logical reason for any underground organisation to implement the public resolutions for the people will carry out the decisions and resolutions as and when the necessity arises".
The AZSU-AMN, ZYF-AMN and ZSUM further said that the Zeliangrong people have almost completed the task of identifying the presence of some selfstyled and doubtful public leaders using the platform or unpopular organisations to act for their personal benefits.
