Ukhrul, February 07 2015 :
The Northern Raphei Students' Union (NRSU) has warned of launching different forms of agitation unless the State Government initiates a probe into the Nov 27, 2014 incident where three innocent civilians of New Tusom village were killed by unknown miscreants.
Raingam A Shatsang, Chihanpam Vashum and Shimreiso Vashum, who were on hunting expedition were found murdered in a forest which triggered panic among the surrounding villagers last November.
NRSU president Agarso Horam told reporters here that the lackadaisical attitude of the police particularly the Jessami police station in this connection was very disappointing.
A case has been registered on Nov 30.However after 73 days of the incident, no investigation or enquiry has been conducted.
A JAC formed in this connection has already urged the higher authority including the local MLA to expedite investigation of the case.
The JAC has earlier given Feb 17 deadline to the State Govt to initiate the probe.
Endorsing the JAC's move, the NRSU warned of resorting to different forms of democratic agitation against the State Government if the demands are not met within the given time.
