Imphal, February 07 2015 :
Close on the heels of recovery of an IED from near the gate of BJP Manipur Pradesh office at Nityaipat Chuthek here today, party president Thounaojam Chaoba has lambasted the State Government stating that the present Government is unable to maintain law and order.
The IED was recovered outside BJP Manipur Pradesh office on a road side at Thou-bal bus parking, just a few metres away from the southern wall of Raj Bhavan.
The explosive, which was concealed inside vegetables and wrapped in a polythene bag, was detected by a bus driver and he informed about it to security guards of BJP office at around 6 am.
It is said that the driver discovered the IED after he had a close look of a suspicious polythene bag which remained at the place unattended for around an hour.
The area was immediately cordoned off and entry of passenger buses inside the parking area was blocked by police.

The bomb was later retrieved by a team of bomb disposal squad safely.
The explosive materials consist of one 51-inch mortar shell, one detonator connected to a battery with wire and one remote control device.
After City police have taken up a case regarding the incident, the explosive was later disposed off safely at around 6.50 am.
Later in the afternoon, BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba while addressing a press conference lambasted the State Government for being unable to maintain law and order.
He expressed concern that unknown miscreants are still able to plant bombs at high security zones in the heart of Imphal city.
Chaoba said that the explosive was luckily detected by a security personnel, who was guarding BJP office, before it claimed precious lives and caused loss of properties.
Maintaining that Thoubal bus parking, which is located in front of BJP office has created noise pollution at 'silent zone', he also demanded that the parking be shifted to another place.
On the other hand, Th Chaoba questioned how the State Government would be able to utilise 99 percent of the plan amount before March financial year as stated by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.
Quoting newspaper reports, Th Chaoba said that the State Government has utilised only 29.5 percent of this fiscal year's plan amount so far.
Saying that the plan amount was provided by the Centre to take up various development works, Th Chaoba said that BJP Manipur Pradesh would not allow the State Government to withdraw the amount without executing works as done in the past financial years during Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre.
Meanwhile, Indo Burma Sugnu Road Bus Owners Welfare Union has condemned placing of a bomb at crowded parking area.
