Awareness prog on Covid-19, welfare schemes held

Noney, July 30 2021:
Noney Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a "Covid-19 Awareness Drive" at Kambiron village by Company Operating Base (COB), Nungba and at Namduanjang village by COB Tupul in Noney district on Friday.
The drive was conducted with an aim to spread awareness on the resurgence of Delta variant of Covid-19, to disseminate the dos and don'ts including importance of social distancing and vaccination.
Through the use of public address system, people were also sensitised about the myths of vaccination complication which are being circulated in the society on various social media platforms.
Meanwhile, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tamenglong organised an online interaction cum awareness programme on National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKY) schemes on Friday.
During the programme, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West and DLSA Tamenglong chairman Arib-am Guneshwar Sharma delivered the keynote address while advocate Meihoubam Rakesh spoke as resource person.
The programme was attended by para-legal volunteers (PLVs) and CSO leaders of Tamenglong and Noney districts.
