KSO Moreh bans transportation of medicine

The Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) Moreh Block and All Pharmacist in Moreh town held a meeting today at KSO Moreh Office Complex and resolved to ban transportation of medicine until the formation of Pharmacist Association.
KSO in a statement informed that the meeting was held after the Pharmacist in Moreh Town made a complain to KSO that 20 Assam Rifles at Tengnoupal gave free passage to few individuals who were transporting medicines in large quantities and prohibited other Pharmacist from carrying even two or three boxes of medicine.
The KSO Moreh Block had also started an investigation on the allegations made by various Pharmacists.
Later, KSO Moreh Block convene a meeting with all the pharmacists and resolved the following -All Moreh Pharmacists' Association to be formed under KSO Moreh Block at the earliest.
Transportation of medicine should be done only after obtaining prior approval from the association and KSO Moreh Block; Ban transportation of medicine until the association is formed; No other association/organisation/trade bodies is allowed to transport medicine; All the pharmacies including wholesalers should submit the list and quantity of medicines.
Stock register will be maintained by KSO Moreh Block.
It also resolved to seize the license/Permits or impose fine if any pharmacist is found violating the agreed points; any pharmacist is found smuggling medicine to Myanmar.
