MPCC new president chairs first meet

Imphal, July 30 2021:
Newly appointed Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president MLA N Loken Singh chaired the first meeting of office bearers of MPCC on Friday and assured of taking action to ensure that the party secures at least 45 seats in state assembly election scheduled in early 2022 .
Members present in the meeting including party leaders congratulated Loken on being appointed as president of MPCC.
They also expressed their views and put up several issues related to strengthening the organisation.
The members were welcomed by MPCC general secretary (admn) Hareshwar Goshwami.
Before commencement of the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed to condole the sudden demise of former permanent secretary MPCC Sanasam Koireng Singh, who breathed his last on July 28 at the age of 73.During the meeting, N Loken highlighted several points for strengthening the party organisation so as to secure at least 45 seats out of 60 assembly constituencies in the upcoming election.
He also sought maximum cooperation and support from party leaders and workers for the purpose.
