The six important student bodies of the State namely AMSU, MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK and AIMS in a joint statement appealed to the Government and authorities concerned to solve the ongoing strike of All Government Polytechnic Teacher's Association (GOPOTA) at the earliest in the interest of the students.
The students bodies stated that the teachers of Government Polytechnic, Takyel have suspended online classes and all forms of academic activities since July 21 as the Government failed to fulfil their demands regarding the implementation of 7th pay.
Due to the suspension of online classes the students are facing numerous problems and their career is at stake, added the statement.
Therefore the student bodies urged the Government to talk with GOPOTA and provide an amicable solution at the earliest for the welfare of the students.
The student bodies also earnestly appealed to the teachers to resume the online classes considering the hardships faced by the students who have been deprived of regular classes ever since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
