Right to life a priority: L Jayantakumar

Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar Singh has said that the right of every citizen of the country is protected by the law of the land and most importantly the people enjoy the right to live.
Speaking as chief guest at the Free Medical Camp & Observance of World Sight Day, 2018 which was held at Khangabok Higher Secondary School, Minister Jayantakumar maintained that to live happily one need to have a healthy life.
Without good health one cannot enjoy a happy life.
For fulfilling the objective of healthy living we have to create an atmosphere where the health of the people is monitored and protected, he added.
He said that the advancement of medical sciences will have no meaning if the health of the people is not safeguarded.
The government has been taking up many initiatives to improve the health sector.
Besides, fighting against many dreadful diseases, the Government has introduced several wellbeing programmes as a part of health service, he added.
Minister Jayantakumar also appealed the public to cooperate with the government initiatives particularly in health sector.
The function was also attended by Director Health Services, Manipur Dr K Rajo Singh and former State Vice President of BJP, Manipur Th Jadumani Singh as President and Guest of Honour respectively.
The Free Medical Camp & Observance of World Sight Day, 2018 was jointly organised by District Health Society Thoubal and National Programme for Control of Blindness & Vision Impairment (NPCB & VI), Thoubal under the aegis of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Manipur.
