'Repair JT Road at the earliest': urges JAC

Jiribam, April 03 2021:
A Joint Action Committee (JAC) for Construction of Jiri Tipaimukh (JT) Road was formed yesterday during a public meeting held at Netaji High School at Barak Circle in Jiribam.
The meeting was convened extending solidarity to Barak Brothers Union Jiribam which warned of intensified stir if the Jiri Tipaimukh Road is not repaired within March 30 which has been left unattended for around 30 years.
It may be mentioned that JT Road is one of the important means of commuting for Jiribam and Pherzawl districts.
The JAC consisted of 14 members and Y Sanjoy was elected as the chairman and Biramohon as the general secretary and the meeting was attended by JDO, HSA, BBU, AMSU and AMBSU among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Biramohon urged the Government and authorities concerned to repair the JT Road at the earliest taking into consideration the plight of the general public.
He further warned of intensified form of agitations including bandhs etc if their demands are not heeded soon.
