Ukhrul, June 18 2010:
The Ukhrul scribes under the aegis of Ukhrul District Journalists' Association (UDJA) expressed condemnation over the threat imposed on Imphal based daily newspapers by some underground organizations for publishing or not publishing their statements.
The UDJA appealed and urged all concern UG groups whether it may be from valley or hills to refrain the mindset of threatening any media houses.
The journalists are serving purely for public even during odd moments leaving everything aside from the problems of families and natural phenomenon of tensions.
UDJA further more appealed all UG groups or other mechanism hindering the exercise of free press to completely ease the unwanted threatening, force, dictate and other related threats once and for all in the greater interest of the peace loving people by respecting and honoring the press ethics of "sanctum sanctora".
