Senapati, July 24 2015 :
As the deadline served to the State Government by Naga Peoples' Front (NPF) regarding formation of ADCs expired today, the party has decided to go ahead with its proposed hill districts 24-hour total bandh on July 27 .
NPF Manipur unit president Awangbou Newmai said that a series of democratic agitations would be staged until ADCs are formed.
He alleged that the Congress Government is curtailing the democratic process and denying the Constitutional rights to the people.
Delaying ADC formation for around two months is against the wish of the people, he said.
Saying that the party would announce the modes of agitation within a few days time, Awangbou appealed to the people of the State to extend support to these agitations.
Meanwhile, reliable sources from the Department concerned informed that official process for the formation of ADCs has begun.
The Minister concerned would take the final decision soon, it added.
Other sources said that reason for the delay is indecisiveness on the voting right of nominated members.
Legal experts have been consulted regarding the matter, the source said.
