Pro-ILP stir continues, raft procession held

Pro-ILP supporters of the State continued to protest with sit-in-protests and road blockades at various places today as well.
All Manipur School Students Transporters Association held at sit-in-protest at YRSC community hall, near Tiddim Ground.
Protesters also formed a human chain along the Tiddim road and raised slogans to implement ILP in the State and also urged the authority concerned to re-open educational institutions at the earliest.
A large number of locals and meira paibis from Nambol also formed a human chain at Nambol Keithel and demanded the State Government to enforce Inner Line Permit System and release the arrested students unconditionally.
Women folks at Uchekon Laikon also staged a sit-in-protest.
Diesel Auto Owner cum Driver Union under Siroy Transport Co-operative Society and Street Vendor (Ima-Ibel) also staged a sit-in-protest at RIMS gate.

Meanwhile, the indefinite road blockade imposed along the Khuman Lampak Stadium Road (Dingku road) by the JAC formed against the killing of Sapam Robinhood continued today as well.
The JAC has decided to relax the ban on vehicular movement at Dingku road from 7 am to 2 pm tomorrow in view of the All India Pre- Medical Test (AIPMT) scheduled to be held tomorrow across the country.
The JAC however said that the agitation will continue and the ban will be imposed soon after the completion of the test.
On the other hand, Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association, Manipur held a raft procession along Imphal river.
They set off from Maharabi village along Sekmai river and rowed till Minuthong raising slogans to implement Inner Line Permit System in Manipur.
A large number of supporters along the banks of Imphal river applauded the supporters and joined in shouting slogans with the rafters.
Later they visited Robinhood's family.
Extending solidarity, the team also provided monetary aid to the bereaved family.
