NH-37 bandh

Imphal, July 24 2015 :
Zeliangrong Students' Union, Jiri Area (ZSUJA), Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Tamenglong and Oinamlong Range Students Union (ORSU) have announced a 24-hour bandh on NH-37 with effect from the midnight of July 27 following the failure of the Government to repair the dilapidated portion of the highway from Barak bridge to Jiribam.
In a joint statement, the student bodies threatened to continue the bandh indefinitely if the Government fails to respond positively within July 28.The bodies said that all the vehicles which defy the bandh would be fined Rs 5000 each.
