Imphal, March 11 2016 :
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba has said that the Congress Government has no time to think for the people as they are busy resolving the differences within the party.
The law and order in the State has gone astray while the party is trying to resolve the infighting among its MLAs, he alleged.
Chaoba was speaking at a reception function held at their Nityaipat Chuthek office to welcome Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) Ward No 15 Councillor Leishangthem Gyanendra today.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba formally approved Gyanendra as an active member of the saffron party.
Speaking at the function, Th Chaoba said that Congress will disappear from the State after the Assembly election in 2017.Although BJP is a party which began its political venture from the scratch, it has virtually defeated ruling Congress in three important poll battles in the recent past, Chaoba claimed.
He said that Congress had to concede defeat in many seats in ADC election.
Later, Congress bit the dust in the by-elections of Thangmeiband and Thongju ACs, Chaoba said.
In Muncipal and Nagar Panchayat elections as well, BJP defeated Congress in good number of seats at Nambol, Moirang, Kumbi, Mayang Imphal, Lilong, Sekmai and Lamlai.
Now only around 50 days are left for the IMC election, Chaoba said.
As such, his party has started developing strategy for the said election, he said.
