Revoke transfer order of CDPO Kpi: AWHA Kangpokpi

The Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association (AWHA), ICDS Project Kangpokpi today staged a sit-in-protest and rally protesting the transfer of in-charge Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), ICDS Project Kangpokpi.
The association also appealed the concern Department to revoke the transfer orders of Buddhachandra Singh, i/c CDPO, ICDS Project Kangpokpi and to issue stay orders in the larger interest and welfare of the people and development of the district.
A large number of Anganwadi workers and helpers under ICDS Project Kangpokpi staged the sit-in-protest today in front of the office of Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project Kangpokpi and also held a short distance rally within the area.

The protestors displayed placard with slogans such as "Revoke transfer order", "Don't transfer our CDPO", "We want Buddhachandra only", etc during the demonstrations.
Highlighting the exemplary service and commitment of the i/c CDPO, ICDS Project Kangpokpi, Buddhachandra Singh, Anganwadi worker Nemvah Lupheng said that the sit-in-protest and rally was organized to display their disappointment over the transfer order and added that they wish to have him back as the CDPO.
The association also submitted a representation signed by its president Nengneilam Kipgen and gen secy Joyshree Kamei which was submitted to Okram Henry, Social Welfare Minister through the Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi.
It stated that Buddhachandra Singh is the most sincere and hardworking officer the ICDS Project Kangpokpi has had till today and under his leadership the ICDS Project Kangpokpi achieved the top position amongst the hill districts in Poshan Maah program for 2 consecutive years ie 2019 and 2020 .
It also said that Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP), Wheat based Nutrition Programme (WBNP) and other materials meant for the beneficiaries are distributed regularly under the supervision of Buddhachandra Singh.
He not only encourages the Anganwadi workers but gives proper guidance and conduct training programmes for them.
He also pays regular visit to the Anganwadi centres even in the interior most location of the district.
The association strongly appealed the concern Authority, especially the Social Welfare Minister to revoke the transfer order in the interest of the association, the project and welfare of the people of Kangpokpi.
