Kangpokpi, September 09 2015 :
Kanggui (Kangpokpi) Christian Church has condoled the tribal martyrs in Churachandpur while consoling the bereaved families in a condolence service held yesterday evening in the Church.
The condolence service attended by hundreds of Christians also prayed for peace and tranquility in the State and prayed to the Almighty to enlighten the leaders in bringing an amicable solution to the tribal issues.
The condolence service led by Rev J Lunkim was organized in a very unique way where the Church Deacon Board members attired in black uniform walked to the pulpit with the beating of the traditional gong and lit candles while all those in attendance paid a standing honor to the tribal martyrs.
After the candlelit service, a minute silence was also observed by the gathering with the traditional gong rhythmically buzzing inside the Church till the condolence service ended.

Seikhomang Khongsai, President, Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills illustrated how the three Bills passed by the State Government pose danger to tribal interests and added that it is a "diabolic movement" to trigger chasm between the valley and the hills.
He continued that time has come for the tribal people to pledge and promise to pursue their charter of demands in right earnest for themselves, for the people and for the new generation while pleging to stand firm, determined and united.
The KISH supremo further flayed the Manipur Government for undermining the protective provisions of the hill tribals given Article 371(C) of the Indian Constitution while condemning the Hill Area Committee (HAC) and all the tribal MLAs in the strongest term for allegedly failing to discharge their duty to protect the Constitutional provisions guaranteed for the tribal people of Manipur.
A mass contribution was also organised for the injured tribal victims for their medical and treatment expenses.
