Medical camp

35 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Oklong village under the Assam Rifles Military Civic Action programme on Dec 7 .
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Medical Officers and paramedical staff of the battalion, informed a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S) .
The camp was organised with the intention of providing the best medical care and assistance to the locals of remote areas.
A lecture on health awareness was also delivered by the medical officer in which he emphasized upon the maintenance of hygiene and sanitation as well as preventive measures for various deadly diseases.
A total of 235 patients were treated and provided free medicines during the camp.
At the culmination of the medical camp, the local populace expressed their deep gratitude to the Assam Rifles and applauded their kind efforts in helping the people of Manipur residing in the remote villages, it added.
