Imphal, December 08 2014:
Consequent to the written assurance given by the authority of United Bank of India (UBI) Imphal Branch, the Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) has extended its earlier deadline of December 6 for indefinite closure of the bank in connection with the misplacement of Rs.200,000/- from one of its account holders.
In a statement, the KIMACS said that unless the person responsible for misplace ment of the amount from the account holder is booked by the bank authority before Dec.
22, it will shut down the United Bank of India (UBI) Imphal Branch indefinitely.
It is surprising to even think of misplacement or loss of cheque without the involvement of the bank staff, as the bank is fully computerized and under whole day CCTV surveillance.
